Vintage

A.S. King was born in Berks County, Pennsylvania. After earning a degree in photography and working in a few stinky darkrooms, she moved to Dublin, Ireland where she swore off television and started writing novels. Two years later, she moved to a small farm in rural Tipperary and became self-sufficient. There, she divided her time between writing, teaching literacy, breeding rare poultry, and finding exciting ways to feed herself. In 2004, she moved back to the US with her small, freakish family.

Her work has appeared in  FRiGG, Literary Mama, The Huffington Post, Washington Square, Word Riot, Amarillo Bay, Natural Bridge, Eclectica,  Underground Voices and other cool places. Her first young adult novel, The Dust of 100 Dogs, will be published by Flux in June 2009.
