Victoria Horn

victoria hornVictoria handles audio rights for  Liza Dawson Associates and is currently building her own client list. Victoria’s interests include YA fiction, adult women’s fiction, romance and literary fiction. She can’t get enough truly well done magical realism and is a sucker for great historical novels. Victoria is open to narrative nonfiction, travel, memoir, pop culture or social science takes on current debates. She looks for sharp humor in unexpected places, a story that places her firmly in another world, and characters she can’t leave behind. She loves strong voices and high concept hooks, or really well written stories about timeless subjects.

Victoria comes to Liza Dawson Associates after two years with Trident Media Group as an assistant to Jenny Bent, Scott Miller and Ellen Levine. She grew up in New England, but has lived and traveled all over the world, including New Zealand, England, and a post-graduate year in China. After graduating with a B.A in English literature from Grinnell College, she has explored many career options, including teaching and social mitigation work for capital defense cases, but quickly decided she would have to save the world through her passion for literature.

Victoria grew up reading and loving authors such as Chris Crutcher, Cynthia Voight, L.M. Montgomery, Francine Pascal, and S.E. Hinton. She can’t put down YA authors Stephanie Myers, Sherman Alexie, D.B.C. Pierre, Sue Townsend, Laura Ruby, and John Connolly. She routinely falls in love with a rotating list of authors, including but not limited to: Ian McEwan, Mark Leyner, Miranda July, Christopher Moore, Kazuo Ishiguro, Jonathan Safran Foer, Sandra Brown, Jude Deveraux, Catherine Coulter, Tom Robbins, Barbara Kingsolver, Elizabeth George, Michael Pollan, and John Krakauer.
